Moore Markhams Hawkes Bay has strengthened its agribusiness and iwi business teams with the appointment of Maui Henare as associate.
Maui has been with the firm for three years and is delighted that his skills and Māori cultural knowledge are valued by his directors.
“I am excited to foster and grow Moore Markhams’ relationships with local iwi organisations as I believe working together makes us all stronger.”
Maui has been working with clients on their financial needs since 2002, both in Horowhenua and Hawke’s Bay. He has worked primarily within the agribusiness space, with considerable knowledge gained in farming, forestry and iwi businesses. He is also experienced with commercial, residential property, investment and not-for-profits organisations.
In addition to his client relationships, Maui co-leads and motivates the rural team. He also provides support to the wider Hawkes Bay team.
Maui believes becoming an associate director is brilliant step in his career and is embracing all the new opportunities that come with the role.
As a descendent of Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Porou tribes, Maui believes he can “marry together Moore Markhams services with iwi needs”.
